George Bush's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize

President Bush just called Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon a “Man of Peace” Of course he led an underground military organization during the Israeli war for Independence. Blew up a couple of villages. He was a general in the 6 day war, and a damn good one, but was a harsh general against the Arabs. He enforced an occupation that was nothing but harsh. As Defense Minister he moved to invade Lebanon which resulted in the massacre of thousands of civilians. He had not made peace ever in his life. I am not saying that any military action by Israel is justified, nor am I making a judgment for Sharon as a person because I think he has done many good things for Israel. If Ariel Sharon is a man of peace it is snowing outside right now, and it is sunny and 83 degrees F in Honolulu.

Maybe that is the largest problem with George Bush, he thinks that this man is a man of peace. We can see how fucked up his world view is.
